Open for enrollment since 2014, the award-winning Brighter Life Institute or BLI is an organized learning program inspired by MOOCs (massive online open courses). For this year, BLI rolls out the Moving Up module – a set of lessons which aim to teach families basic financial planning practices and the value of honest conversations about money, even to one’s children.
The Moving Up module takes its cue from Sun Life’s ‘Money For Life’ philosophy, which shows a holistic journey through four different life stages. With lessons spanning from creating a household budget to preparing for future milestones such as a college education, BLI’s latest offering can now be accessed via http://brighterlife.com.ph/bli-moving-up/.

Mom’s Me Time at I’m Onsen

Every mom deserves a “Me Time” with all the responsibilities that comes with motherhood we always lookout for pampering time. It’s not just physically but emotionally and mentally as well.

June 21 is the much-awaited day for us moms. We where pampered at the I’m Onsen spa of I’M Hotel. A very luxurious hotel in Makati. Upon entering the hotel lobby you can feel the relaxing ambiance that makes the guest feel comfortable  and the staff welcomed us so well.

Since I wanted to keep the japanese ambiance so i had  Japanese dish. Oishi!

The day started with a sumptuous buffet lunch that made us feel like a Queen. They have several dishes to choose from and the dining area was spacious. Everything was so organized and we didn’t have a hard time choosing the food we wanted.

We passed by the pool area before going to thsle spa.

After the buffet lunch the much awaited spa came next. Actually we almost got lost since the amenities where located at different floor and we can’t remember it. Good thing there is a staff assigned to assist us.

This is the Onsen Spa it is a Japanese term for public hot bath.

The we took photo of sauna, Jacuzzi and steam. The robe is also a Japanese inspired kimono .

The massage room was spacious and during the treatment I felt so relaxed and enjoyed it. This is something I will never forget.

After the pampering we where able to hear talk from reliable speakers of Sunlife about the proper way of investing and what we as mom should do for our children’s future.

As a wife we have responsibility to help our husband deciding for the future of the family especially of the children.

A wise woman builds her house. But the foolish tears it down.

Prov 14:1

I gain additional knowledge about the present rates of tuition fee for college and universities. And I will be sending my youngest daughter in college anytime.

I am convinced that the proper knowledge in investment for the future is really important. Securing the future of your children by investing in a stable company is a must.

Wives are helpmate to the husband so we have a contribution in our Family’s Future.

A husband must fulfill his duty to his wife and likewise the wife to her husband.
1 Corinthians 7:3

That’s why I thank Sunlife for educating us moms about it and the pampering that you gave us.

Thanks also to the sponsors who gave us some products for more pampering. Excited to be part of more Sunlife Events.

Thanks again IM Hotel and Sunlife.

Introduce Investment to Millenials

SUN LIFE’S #liveBrighter Campaign: Millenials For A Financially Prepared Generation

20160819_110305

20160819_121217

Sunlife was part of my childhood, i first heard of it when I was in grade school. We transfered from Manila to Cebu and it so happened that our house is located beside Sunlife Bldg. It was so attractive since it has a big lawn grass infront that looks like a park. The building was designed in a high-end style and during those time you can seldom see such structure. I also see different luxury cars that go there and parked infront. Not knowing what is Sunlife  is I was so amazed.

I asked my Mom and told me that is an established company based in Canada. So after how many years I was married then a neighbor approached me and ask If I am interested to get a Sunlife Insurance, it was very well explained and was impressed but during that time I was also paying for another Insurance Comoany. Neither did I know that Sunlife has greater things to offer.

Lately a friend of mine from Sunlife also approached me and told her I really believe in your product and will get a policy and investment for my husband and children. So that I know that their future is secured.

This new product also impressed me and told my son, nephew ans nieces about it. Educating the millenials to invest at an early age will guarantee their future.

20160819_122020

The new generation of workforce, the Millenials, wants to grow with a company that respects their individuality while being part of a noble cause. Such opportunity is possible when one becomes a Financial Advisor. This is a door that Sun Life (of Canada) Philippines, Inc. opens wider with a recruitment drive called #LiveBrighter. It aims to present the profession as a career choice for Millennials who wish to have the time and resources to pursue their passions as they advocate financial foresight and planning.

20160819_122909

“Millennials are known to be slashers as they juggle a lot of things live travelling, blogging, and other passion projects on top of their regular 8-5 jobs. It sounds very aspirational but how can they sustain this in terms of time and resources?” said Sun life Recruitment Manager Fin Bernardo. “With that in mind, we see that the profession of a Financial Advisor is a perfect fit for their lifestyle,” added Bernardo.

20160819_122741

After introducing the Financial Advisor in popular culture thru its engagement with Cinema One’s Single/Single, Sun Life dishes out the #LiveBrighter Sessions. This is a series of meet-ups to show how a Financial Advisor lives up to the demands and rewards of the profession. It aims to reach more Millennials and send them the message that their dream job is just here all along.

20160819_123439

20160819_123443

Guided by the core values of a Sun Life Financial Advisor- caring, professional, inspiring, and winning – #LiveBrighter Sessions will give a taste of the benefits one can enjoy in choosing this particular career path. More than the chance to earn unlimited income, it also provides perks such as all-expense travel and the freedom to work with an unbridled schedule.

20160819_123354

With more Filipinos keen on getting insurance and investment products, the possibilities for new Advisors are endless. “We need more Financial Advisors to educate Filipinos on the importance of preparing for unexpected life’s events and offer them solutions that let them have Money For Life,” explained Bernardo.
